Week 1

The work of project in week one is all about background knowledge and theoretical knowledge.

Source coding for signal is one way to deal with the data compression, the aim of source coding is to allow efficient transmission with less redundancy. The two methods of our project are Huffman coding and Arithmetic coding, both two are lossless data compression, that means the data will be reconstructed exactly.

To meet each group members the general plan made:
